Teak

Our Teak Products are finished with Sayerlack, a low VOC sealant that optimises teak's variable grain and oil content. Our teak products are intended for indoor use only.
  • Avoid exposure to extreme conditions: do not place items near heating sources or air-conditioners.
  • To avoid colour variations over extended periods of time it’s best to keep teak items out of direct sun and move tabletop objects from time to time.
  • As a natural material, hairline cracks can occur in timber. This is a feature rather than a fault and will not affect the functionality of your furniture.
  • Ensure there is a gap of at least 25mm around your piece, to allow airflow.
  • To prevent staining, it’s recommended that any spills be removed immediately
  • Wipe any spills immediately with a clean, soft, slightly damp cloth in the direction of the wood grain.
  • Avoid using any cleaners that contain bleach, ammonia, acid or other harsh chemicals. We recommend a diluted solution of warm water and natural soap, followed by a clean, damp cloth.
  • Never use a soaking wet cloth.
  • Use placemats and/or coasters to prevent hot pots and pans, or cold glasses and bottles, from leaving marks on furniture
  • Do not drag furniture along the floor, always lift furniture when moving
  • Minor surface scratches can be buffed with a fine furniture wax or polish (wax-based, not silicone or ammonia-based).
