A sofa sets the tone of a living room, but it doesn't have to decide everything. Muro shows how that works. Rounded arms and deep, sink-in cushions give it a soft, sculptural presence. The silhouette stays calm enough to take on almost any direction around it.

We styled the Muro Sofa three ways: warm and neutral, sharp and contemporary, then layered and maximalist. It's one sofa in three colourways, with three different rooms built around it.

Warm & Neutral

Muro in Silas Honey sits over a deep olive rug. The palette stays close to the earth: mid-toned timber, moss green and a single note of burgundy.

The Check Coffee Table has a low, blocky form in warm timber with a checkerboard grain across the top, and it brings weight to the centre of the room. The Embellish Entertainment Unit adds texture along the wall. Two Muro middle modules in a matching tone sit opposite the sofa, turning the room toward conversation. A slim timber-framed mirror, a tall potted tree and a lamp with a burgundy base finish the look.

Styling note: When the sofa is neutral, let the rug carry the colour. A deep pile in green adds depth without competing with the furniture.

Sharp & contemporary

Muro in Fossil Eucalyptus.

This look is cleaner and lighter. Muro in soft green sits against a textured cream rug and sheer curtains. The Quart Coffee Table has rounded corners and generous legs. Its form is simple and solid, so the sofa's colour leads.

A deeper green Crest Armchair with a sweeping, sculptural arm adds a second shade of the same colour. Beside it sits the Etch Side Table in grey marble veined with gold. Two Muro ottomans at the foot of the rug add seating that moves where it's needed. A ribbed pendant overhead keeps the light soft and the lines crisp.

Styling note: Keep the palette tight and the forms clean. Two shades of green, pale timber and cream let the shapes do the talking.

Layered & maximalist

Muro in Fossil Chocolate.

In deep chocolate, Muro becomes the pattern's anchor. The Sonny Rug with a raised geometric grid covers the floor. The Check Coffee Table in Oak, with a matching side table beside it.

Two Draper swivel armchairs with round timber bases lift the room. Sidney Ottomans in Marnie Coconut Stripe bring rhythm at floor level. A brass and timber floor lamp with a stitched shade adds height. A candle in deep red picks up the warmth of the rug.

Styling note: A dark sofa can take pattern. Layer geometry and stripes low and keep the upholstery around it light.

One sofa, three rooms

Across all three looks, Muro stays the same. It keeps the same rounded arms, the same deep seat and the same easy proportions. What changes is everything around it: the rug, the timber and how much colour the room can hold. Start with the sofa and let the room follow.
