Elton John

While full of vintage finds and ornate details, this isn’t your grandma’s living room. Elton John’s living quarters are a flamboyant masterpiece — much like the man himself. Everywhere you look, there’s a pop of gold — armchairs, tables, columns! And let’s not forget plush textures — a velvet lounge fit for a king (of rock and roll) is a highlight.

InHance Design Build Founder and Principal, Bre Hance, highlights how well Elton’s living room lends itself to hosting: “The seating is set up to be communal and inviting while still feeling very sophisticated. There are tons of beautiful details like the mouldings, artwork and the ceiling mural that serve as great conversation pieces.”

Bringing the Rocketman look home isn’t as intimidating as you’d think.
While finding genuine Renaissance art might be hard, buying an art print in a similar vibe isn’t! When thinking furniture, think maximalist — velvet sofas in jewel tones and French gold armchairs. Can't fit a grand piano? No worries! Make a statement with a chandelier instead.

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian may have a whole TV show about drama, but this living room tells a different story. Minimalism and high fashion intertwine — we're talking stark white walls, furniture, the whole shebang. You wouldn't want your morning coffee or evening red anywhere near it, but it feels surprisingly calm and balanced.

Textures speak louder than colours in her space — a sleek sleek marble coffee table, low-pile rug and boucle seating is more prominent than ever. There are no fussy details here, just a heavily curated selection of statement pieces that feel effortlessly cool.

Kim K’s decor style may be best suited to ‘no shoes in the house’ kind of people. If that’s you, start with your base — we’re talking creamy white walls, floors and ceilings. Next, invest in high-quality furniture — our Swell Armchair and Swell Left Hand Chaise Sofa in cream aren’t quite dupes, but they’re very close. In general, take a ‘less is more’ approach and don’t overcrowd your living room.

Ashley Tisdale

Like her most famous role, Ashley Tisdale needs fabulous. Only in real life, this is in more of a freespirited, California-cool way. Tisdale’s living room is characterised by its bright, airy feel and laid-back vibe. The room features a neutral colour palette with pops of pastels, timber accents, and comfortable, casual furniture.

Tisdale’s living room feels thoughtfully curated for entertaining, but comfortable enough for a Netflix marathon. It’s also clear she loves natural-textured pieces — leather occasional chairs, a calacatta marble coffee table and designer checkerboard rug to name a few.

While Ashley didn’t buy her iconic sofa from us, she may as well have — our low profile, bubble-style Ondo 4 Seater Sofa in cream boucle is eerily similar. Pair it with neutral textiles, hints of timber and a cult-classic Caprani floor lamp, and you’ve got yourself a living room Ashley would love.

Troye Sivan

This living room is the envy of every 20-something in Melbourne who wishes they could live in an art gallery. Everything feels super thoughtful and undeniably interesting — from rice paper lamps to giant indoor plants. While we can’t see it, we just know this living room smells like expensive wood and Tsu Lange Yor candles.

The furniture's a mix of comfy and earthy — a giant, sink-in sofa begs for a mid-day nap and a slab coffee table works overtime hosting stacks of books you’ll never read. This space feels like an extension of Troye himself — a reflection of his artistic side and his love of travel.

Hovia Head of Design, Catherine Jacob, has shared her tips for recreating Troye’s museum-worthy living room by using our range:

“Start with the large, cosy Berg Pit Sofa in cocoa and the Niche Ottoman in an off-white boucle to add soft comfort. Incorporate the Rubick Rug in rust/ivory for a pop of pattern and warmth on the floor. Introduce diverse materials with the chunky Sector Coffee Table and the Flow Side Table in earthy tones…. The Billie Planter allows for the inclusion of lush houseplants, enhancing the room's biophilic and boho vibe.”

Lily Allen & David Harbour

The only thing Not Fair about this living room is that it’s not our own. Lily Allen and David Harbour’s living room is as iconic as the couple is. It’s green, whimsical, vibrant, vintage and green. Did we mention green? From the olive tufted velvet sofa and armchairs to the fireplace, moulding and wallpaper, there’s no escaping green — and we’re not mad about it.

Interior Designer and Founder/CEO of Kathy Kuo Home, Kathy Kuo, shares with us how Lily’s personal style shines through in their living room: “I love that this room reflects her playfulness and love of colour and pattern, but also that it has many traditional elements that feel distinctly English, which Lily also is."

Here’s how to recreate Lily and David’s living room without consulting your local high tea place: “You can't go wrong starting with a colourful velvet sofa or set of living room chairs and then building from there to achieve a really fun maximal effect,” Kathy says.“Once you have your statement furniture, experiment with different decorative objects, pillows and wall art before you commit to bigger projects and pieces like wallpaper or a chandelier.”

Lenny Kravitz

Lenny Kravitz's living room feels like being backstage at a gig with a cowboy hat on. It’s rock and roll meets ranch living; laid-back with a riff of global inspiration. Everything in his space is confidently cool — in one room, we find a teak root coffee table, antique silver candelabra, rattan blinds and zebra-striped armchair.

We love how this room feels like a blend of old and new, with souvenirs, mid-century seating and modern abstract wallpaper working harmoniously. This whole space feels like it's been lived-in in the best way possible.

Catherine has shared how to pull off the cowboy-rockstar look using RJ Living pieces: “The Puff Sofa in the auburn fabric introduces warm tones and plush comfort.... incorporate the Claude Coffee Table to add a rugged touch and functional centrepiece. The Elio Rug in dark tones grounds the space, while the gold Cora Floor Lamp and the walnut Evie Table Lamp provide layered lighting for softness.”

Dakota Johnson

Dakota Johnson is America’s sweetheart — she’s down to earth and relatable, and so is her living room.
Velvet furniture is set around a mid-century Harvey Probber coffee table that makes space for good conversation.

The colour scheme? Earthy shades (not quite 50) that are anything but boring, with a Morrocan rug and multiple lamps for good measure. Despite likely costing her a small fortune, it's a totally unpretentious space that feels like her and where you just know she gets lost in a good book.

It takes a good eye to recreate a living room full of unique treasures, but we’re here to make it easier. To achieve a similar look, mix it up with a blend of vintage finds and modern pieces — we spy something very similar to our Cotton Velvet Cushion in ivy on that couch. Don't be shy to layer textures and patterns, and make it your own with some personal touches like artwork and trinkets.

Demi Lovato

This living room is truly one-of-a-kind — like Demi, it’s eclectic, funky and modern. The longer you look, the more you discover — the wall treatment is a work of art, and so is the art-deco palm tree, naked statue, wall rug, side tables and so, so much more.

Bre shares how Demi pulls off this modern-eclectic look: “Every piece is a fun surprise. All the pieces complement each other, though, and the monochromatic take with the pop of colour in the sofa and the print on the rug makes it a conversation worth talking about.” In the words of Demi Lovato, “This is real, this is me.”

When recreating Demi’s signature look, be careful to be intentional — throwing together a collection of random pieces probably won’t get you where you want to go. Start with a black-and-white base and then throw in a bright coloured sofa. From there, feel free to mix metals and introduce pieces from your favourite artists.

Drake

A living room fit for an entourage. This living room breaks all the rules — what it lacks in nap-ability and mood lighting, it makes up for in sheer grandeur. From shiny marble floors to an entire bar, there’s something very VIP lounge happening here.

This room says Drake loud and clear — it’s a reflection of his taste for the finer things in life (one of those things is almost certainly gold). This living room is probably more for partying than relaxing, which is perfect for this jet-setting rapper.

Bre shares a way to the Drake look that doesn’t require turning your living room into a nightclub: “To achieve a similar luxurious look, invest in high-quality materials such as marble, rich wood and plush fabrics… Incorporate statement pieces like an oversized coffee table or a luxurious sofa, and keep the colour palette neutral with accents of gold or silver for added elegance.”

Sofia Vergara

Sofia Vergara's living room is a masterclass in effortless sophistication.
Its base is all-white, but she adds personality through decorative touches — dove blue cushions, a marble table, berry-toned dahlias and an incredible crystal chandelier.

It’s also clear that symmetry is important to Sofia — the matching 3-seaters and armchairs face inward to turn this living room into a conversation pit. The conversation starter? The horse sculpture — an unexpected piece that reflects Sofia's vivacious personality.

Channel Sofia Vergara's gorgeous living room by starting with a blank canvas — literally. If white sofas and armchairs feel sustainable to you, that’s the natural next step. If not, swap white for something bright and neutral. Finally, bring in some bold pieces — our Stage Marble Coffee Table and Braid Hive Rug in tusk may be the perfect duo to kick things off.

Leonardo DiCaprio

With theatre-style lamps and old Hollywood exposed bulbs, we wouldn't be surprised if Leonardo DiCaprio’s living room came straight off a movie set. Couple that with the fact that everything here looks like it could be (and likely is) a film prop, and you’ve got a space that feels distinctly Leo. The only thing missing is a spot for his long-awaited Oscar!

When asked to comment on this living room, Catherine zooms in on the link between DiCaprio and his space: “This interpretation of a warm, earthy living room incorporates a dramatic nod to Hollywood. With the statement horse sculpture, grand piano and light bulb ceiling light (reminiscent of Hollywood mirrors), the room combines comfort with a sense of whimsy.”

Catherine also reveals how to achieve Mr. Hollywood’s look using our products:

“Add a sense of warmth and texture with the Sidney Sofa and the Guardian Lounge Chair. The Birch Rug anchors the seating area, while the Edge Coffee Table provides a bold and stylish centrepiece. Enhance the room’s structure with the Ellipse Pendant Connection Bar (and Ellipse Short Black Pendants) for overhead lighting.”

Cher

Cher took ‘If I Could Turn Back Time’ literally when designing her living room. This diva has gone for an ornate space layered with old-world charm and culture — it’s clear she’s taken inspiration from many parts of the world.

Forget matchy-matchy — here, comfort and individuality take centre stage in a glorious clash of styles. Common threads like dark timber, neutral colours and cool tones tie it all together. Her living room is a carefully curated explosion of personality, as extra and iconic as Cher herself.

On this living room, Bre describes it to us as a hybrid of Moroccan and Balinese styles: “Curate pieces from Moroccan and Balinese type stores, aim for large scale pieces, comfortable cushions and feathered pillows. Keep it neutral with subtle pops of colour and pattern. Let the details of the furniture speak for itself and be the attention grabber.”

Cara Delevigne

Cara Delevingne's living room is basically an adult playground. Forget grown-up white walls — here we’ve got an indoor jungle where everything works together to create an extravagant, eclectic and maximalist space that would make Tony Duquette proud.

Earthy tones reign supreme — green crane wallpaper winds its way up the walls, a plush red carpet begs for bare feet and a crystal chandelier elegantly hands from the celiling. It's a testament to Cara's playful spirit and ability to turn anything into an adventure.

For a Delevingne-inspired living room, go big and bold! Think grandeur with a central fireplace as your anchor. Arrange furniture symmetrically for balance, and add in as many plants and botanical motifs as you can fit. Then unleash your inner Cara with luxurious textures, unexpected pops of colour and statement furniture.

Ricky Martin

Ricky may have spent his youth living la vida loca (translation: the crazy life), but with his living room as evidence, those days are behind him. “Between acting and music, Martin’s appreciation of the arts is evident in how he has kept his living room feeling quiet and reflective, almost gallery-like,” shares with us Catherine.

“The room feels mature, welcoming and calming, achieved through the neutral tones on chairs and side tables.” Other notable threads include natural textures like rattan, leather, jute and timber, as well as a feeling of indoor-outdoor living.

Get The Look

Here’s how Catherine would style a Ricky Martin-inspired living room using RJ living pieces:

“The Seam Sofa provides a soft and welcoming centrepiece, complemented by the Sabolla Outdoor Armchair… Incorporate the round Reef Rug to add jute texture and a natural element to the space. The Verde Coffee Table offers a dramatic statement piece, while the My Stamp and Vassili Side Tables provide functional surfaces with elegant, shapely details.”

Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth took her clean-living motto and applied it to her decor. This Goop founder knows exactly what she likes, and it shows — think neutrals with a wink of colour. Front and centre we’ve got designer blush pink armchairs and a grey U-shaped sofa.

Unlike her Hollywood neighbours, there’s something slightly more glamorous about her space than California-relaxed. Ultimately, it’s a win-win of form and function — the couch looks comfortable, but the creative lighting and art elevate the space and keep it interesting.
