RJ: What kind of feeling was central in creating these spaces?

RR-ID: For a compact site and floor plan the intent was to create a robust beach house that had through flowing spaces that connect with its coastal surroundings.

RJ: There’s a great usage of texture across the home, how did you balance the variety of materials while keeping the aesthetic consistent?

RR-ID: By making sure our selection of finishes and materials complimented and connected with the coastal environment.

RJ: What is your favourite element of the home?

RR-ID: The front door entry which has views through the house to the old oak tree and the main living space which encourages greater connection for entertaining.
